Ira Nordlicht
Chief Executive Officer
Ira S. Nordlicht serves as Chief Executive Officer, President and a director of Alfa Wassermann, Inc. and is a director of affiliated companies of Alfa Wassermann, Inc. since 2000. Mr. Nordlicht has been involved in various aspects of the healthcare industry for more than 30 years. He has also served on the boards of a number of private and public companies and for a period of time was the Chair of a Washington-based foreign policy nonprofit. A practicing attorney since 1972, he was a partner in a Wall Street law firm before founding the law firm of Nordlicht & Hand in 1987 and has continued his practice at such firm to date.

Mr. Nordlicht held a number of positions with the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and was a Senior Trial Attorney at the Federal Trade Commission. He received a B.A. degree in economics from Harpur College and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
 
Mark Gnagy
Vice President of Sales
Mark Gnagy joined Alfa Wassermann in 2007 where he started as Eastern Regional Sales Manager and became Director of Sales in 2010. In 2013, he was named Vice President of Sales. Prior to joining Alfa Wassermann, Mark spent 25 years with bioMerieux, Inc. (Organon Teknika) where he held various positions within the company including marketing, sales, sales management, Director of Sales, and Director of Corporate Accounts.

Mr. Gnagy received his B.S. degree in Microbiology from Bowling Green State University.
 
Hyman Katz, PhD
Vice President of Quality Systems and Regulatory Affairs
Hy Katz joined Alfa Wassermann Diagnostic Technologies in 2008. Previously he served as Corporate Vice President of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs at Pall Corporation, a filtration, separations and purification technologies company that had ranked in the Fortune 500. Dr. Katz holds degrees in Chemistry from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University (BSc), Purdue University (MSc) and Brandeis University (PhD).

He is a Fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and served as Chairman of their General Technical Council during the creation of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, and Chairman of their Standards Council during the creation of the ISO 9000 Quality Systems Standards. He also served on the Boards of Directors of ASQ and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). Dr. Katz has also been a guest lecturer at U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Supervisors training course, Rockville, MD, and FDA Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), Division of Small Manufacturers Assistance Workshop.
 
Kurt Spiegel
Vice President of Engineering
Kurt Spiegel joined Alfa Wassermann as Product Development Engineering Manager in 2005 and now serves as Vice President of Engineering. While at Alfa Wassermann, Kurt has restructured and streamlined the engineering departments with a focus on creating a cohesive multidisciplinary team of engineers cumulating in several medical device launches.

Mr. Spiegel holds dual bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Science, Technology and Society from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. During his career, Kurt has worked on Product Development for retail, pet, toy and medical products.
Peter Napoli
Chief Operating Officer and President, AWDT
Peter J. Napoli joined Alfa Wassermann as Vice President of Finance in 2005 and now serves as President of Alfa Wassermann Diagnostic Technologies and Chief Operating Officer of Alfa Wassermann, Inc. Previously, he served as President and Chief Finance Officer of Price & Pierce International, a publicly owned multinational company with revenues in excess of $100 million.

Mr. Napoli holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Pace University's Lubin School of Business. During his career, he has had responsibility in a broad array of disciplines such as finance, sales, and executive management.
 
Michael O'Malley
Vice President of Service Operations
Michael O'Malley is Vice President of Service Operations, having started at Alfa Wassermann in 2005. His prior experience includes Operational Finance, Operations, and Strategic Planning for a fragrance & flavor manufacturer, having served as the Director of Strategic Operations. He also held similar positions in the public sector and retail industry.

Mr. O'Malley received a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Analysis from St. John's University and an MBA from Iona College.
 
Barbara Phillips
Vice President of Reagent Technologies
Barbara Phillips has been with Alfa Wassermann since 2002 in Reagent Technology and Quality Assurance, and is currently the Vice President of Reagent Technologies. She is responsible for Reagent Technology, Reagent Quality Control, and Quality Assurance. Previously, she has served as a Medical Laboratory Technician for the Pascack Valley Hospital laboratory for seven years as well as a Quality Control Scientist and Quality Assurance Scientist at Instrumentation Laboratory for 20 years.

Ms. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from Fordham University and is a Certified Medical Technologist from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP). She has experience with FDA, ISO, GMP, and GLP compliance.
 
Frank Kube
Vice President of Global Information Technology
As Vice President of Global Information Technology, Frank Kube brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in information systems, information technologies, and operations to Alfa Wassermann. Mr. Kube directs the architecture and implementation of all business support systems that the organization uses to manage the business, as well as the design and development of unique telephony applications. Previous to Alfa Wassermann, Frank held various positions in Network Management within the Manufacturing and Retail Automation industries.

Mr. Kube attended the Chubb Institute for Information Technology and is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
